Ancient Futures is an Afrofuturism inspired outdoor spectacular that blends contemporary circus and storytelling with Sound System culture and West African folklore.
This headline festival experience fuses dance, circus, parkour, music and storytelling with design inspired by West African masquerade and Afrofuturism.
Conceived and directed by Vicki Dela Amedume (Upswing) and J Spooner (Unlimited) with new music by grime artist Afrikan Boy, Ancient Futures is a durational event for festivals that fuses dance, circus, parkour, music and storytelling.

FAQs
Do children under 2 need a ticket?
Children under 24 months (babe in arms) do not require a ticket and can attend this event for free. Please note that this performance uses amplification, so you may wish to bring headphones.
Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs are most welcome at Hat Fair but must be kept on the lead at all times. Please note that this performance uses amplification.
Will there be seating?
There is limited, unreserved seating available on a first come, first served basis. Gates open 30 minutes before the performance start time. There is an accessible seating area for anyone with additional access needs. Please contact the Box Office on 01962 840 400 if you have any additional needs or if you have any queries.

Is there any cover/shelter?
No. This show is staged fully outdoors with no cover. Please dress for the weather.
What happens if the performance gets cancelled?
Should the performance get cancelled you will be entitled to a full refund.
